Welcome to the Suffolk County Lakes website. This site has been designed as part of the Suffolk County Feasibility Study to Eradicate Aquatic Invasive/Nuisance Species from three highly prized lakes in the Town of Brookhaven: Canaan Lake on the Patchogue River, and Upper and Lower Lakes on the Carmans River. The Study also includes the evaluation of options to restore fish passage at the Upper and Lower Lakes. This website will enable us to keep these lake communities informed of progress throughout the project via posting of pertinent meeting information, providing summaries of meeting highlights, as well as receiving community feedback throughout the duration of the project. It will also be utilized as a repository for reference information including links to other websites, press, related documents and maps and figures.
